I know it's been a while ...

Yes I know it's been a while since I've written in this poetry blog. A lot has happened in the year since I posted. I quit PowerStation, I'm assistant manager at Red Brick, and I'm back at school at CSULB. Oh but one thing hasn't changed: the love I have for Eric. Yup, we're still together, and this poem that I wrote (yeah I know ... finally) reflects my longing for him, although I know we'll be together. Enjoy.

I Will Be With You

A feeling of longing is pierced inside of me.
The distance between us is pure insanity.
It has been so long since I've felt your touch.
I distract myself so I don't miss you so much.
We've been together for nearly a decade ...
Even though I don't see you, I shouldn't be afraid.
I can't wait to be in your arms once more ...
My love for you is solid, for sure.
We tread through this life day after day.
I miss you so much ... I haven't seen you since May.
But I will stay strong and I will stay true ...
Because I know in the end, I will be with you.
