Poetic ice cream?

Haha! Yeah that's crazy, isn't it? Well not for me ... and not for my latest poem (yes I know I haven't written in a while hehe). I actually was sitting at my new job after getting off of work ... and I was staring at the gelato (Italian ice cream) case. I saw a flavor we have called "Strachitella (aka. Romeo & Juliet)" which basically is our version of chocolate chip, and from that I was inspired to write my newest poem. Funny huh? Hope you guys like it. It's sweet ... like the gelato. :)

True Devotion

Like Romeo & Juliet's unrequited love,
You are the only one I'm thinking of.
Through distance & time, my heart stays strong.
I love you, even though my kin says it wrong.
If loving you is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.
I truly committed a crime at first sight.
So lock me up and throw away the key,
And I will love you for eternity.
Even though we are different ... me and you,
I will never ever be untrue.
Your love consumes me like the deepest ocean.
What we have is the epitome of true devotion.
